Judge Says McDonald's Must Give Employee Emails to U.S. Labor Board
On Friday, U.S. Judge Colleen McMahon ordered that McDonald's must hand over thousands of emails sent by workers employed by franchises in the next 30 days. The company received a subpoena from the National Labor Relations Board ordering them to hand over the documents, but the corporation responded by asking the judge to waive the subpoena. The NLRB claims that McDonald's should be considered a joint employer for all workers employed by its franchises.
