Teachers from the Yorkville School District have recently authorized a strike that is tentatively scheduled to happen on December 2nd. The teachers will only take action if a new agreement is not reached beforehand. Negotiations are over things such as health coverage, teacher planning time, and compensation. The district representatives and officials from the Yorkville teachers' union will reconvene on November 15th to discuss the issues further.
