VW Looks at Cost Cuts and Offers Money to Diesel Car Owners
On Monday, Volkswagen made an announcement that it would be discussing cost-cutting measures with representatives of its workforce. While the statement did not directly address what these measures might be, some believe that there could be job cuts out of the company's 614,000 person workforce. Currently the company produces the same number of cars as Toyota, but has twice the number of employees. These cost-cutting measures come as a result of the recent scandal the company faced over emissions tests.
