With a Hush, an American Lexus Plant Goes to Work
Last week, Toyota began to manufacture Lexus vehicles at its plant in Kentucky. This is the first time ever that Lexus cars will be produced in the United States. The plant will produce 50,000 Lexus cars each year, making it the largest Toyota plant in the world. Production of the Lexus cars has added 750 new jobs to that plant and employees underwent a total of 1.5 million hours in training. Some of the plant's workforce even traveled to Japan to learn more about Lexus production.
