Indonesia Opens Trials of 6 Accused of Enslaving Fishermen
In May, six suspects were arrested in Thailand after The Associated Press published a report revealing human trafficking in the seafood industry. The trials for those arrested began on Monday. If found guilty, these suspects could face up to 15 years in prison. So far, over 2,000 people have been sent home to their families as a result of the report. Many of these slaves had been held captive for nearly a decade.
