In the West Bank it is estimated that as many as 36,000 Palestinians are in work settlements there. Most of the people work in construction where they are able to earn a wage that is three times the average Palestinian wage. These industrial zones have thousands of businesses, which thrive off of tax breaks available to them and inexpensive Palestinian labor. According to one man, he only earns $38 a day yet this is still the best job available to him.
