Sixth-Form College Teachers' Strike Can Go Ahead, says High Court
In England, Justice Kerr has ruled that the Secretary of State for Education cannot prevent teachers from going on strike. The teachers voted last month to authorize a strike over pay cuts. Clive Sheldon, a representative from the Secretary of State, claims that the pay dispute was settled in February and that this strike is over issues not concerning employment conditions. The union plans to proceed with its strike following this ruling.
