Walmart, labor group clash over app that connects employees
Following the launch of WorkIt, a smartphone application designed to educate Walmart employees on their workplace rights, the famously anti-union corporation is lashing back at the labor group that created it. OUR Walmart has organized national protests against the company in the past, but its co-director Dan Schlademan stated that they are currently not trying to unionize Walmart employees. Walmart is reportedly pressuring employees to not download WorkIt because the company has not authorized the app’s software.
