Union Calls For a Total Recall of American Airlines' New Uniforms
American Airlines is being asked to recall 70,000 of its uniforms after over 1,600 of its flight attendants reported the garments caused their eyes and skin to burn, as well as breathing problems. Ever since the uniforms were issued in September, the flight attendants have filed complaints with the Association of Professional Flight Attendants. Despite three rounds of tests, American Airlines cannot yet determine the cause of its employee’s illnesses. Until the cause is determined, the Association of Professional Flight Attendants is asking the airline to recall all of its uniforms.
