Dozens of workers stage strike at National and Dulles airports
Wheelchair assistants, luggage handlers, and skycaps at Reagan National and Dulles International airports are striking today to fight to be paid $15 an hour. Some of the employees make only $6.15 an hour, plus tips. The airports did not suffer flight or service disruptions as a result of the strike. The Service Employees International Union is representing the workers and has been advocating for a living wage for airport and fast food workers across the country.
