U.S. Postal Service ends deal with Staples after long-running union protest
After three years of boycotts by the American Postal Workers Union, the United States Postal Service announced it will be backing out of its contract with Staples Inc in. Previously, customers could utilize postal services at 500 of Staples' stores. The APWU saw this as the privatization of the USPS because Staples employees were completing postal service duties. All postal services will be removed from Staples locations by the beginning of March.
