Crab strike ends with negotiated wholesale price
After 11 days of striking, crabbers in Northern California will resume fishing for Dungeness crab. The crabbers and Pacific Seafood resolved the price conflict by settling at $2.875 per pound. Pacific Seafood had prompted the strike by previously offering the fishermen $2.75, .25 cents less than they had received in the past. The crabbers were concerned that prices would continue to drop if they began selling for $2.75 per pound.
