Did Uber Break Taxi Strike Over Trump Immigration Order?
Uber is being accused of breaking yesterday's one hour strike of NYC taxi drivers. During the work stoppage at JFK airport, which was geared to protest President Trump's executive order concerning immigration, Uber sent drivers to the airport and allegedly profited off of the strikes. Blogger Harry Campbell argues that Uber actually lost money during the work stoppage because it did not engage in price surges. However, claims of strike breaking, along with the presence of Uber CEO as an advisor to President Trump, have galvanized the social media call to #deleteUber.
