MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred Criticizes Union’s Resistance to Change
Rob Manfred, Commissioner of Major League Baseball, criticized the players' association for its "lack of cooperation" in regards to the proposed rule changes for the upcoming season. Manfred was unable to make any changes for 2017, but has the ability to circumvent the bargaining contract in 2018. Tony Clark, executive director of the players' union, has pushed for educating fans on the changes happening in baseball instead of making more rule changes.
