Are high heel dress codes for the workplace sexist? UK lawmakers debate
Members of British Parliament met today to debate the constitutionality of corporate dress codes that require women to wear high heels. The debate spurs from a petition created by Nicola Thorp, a woman who was fired by PwC for refusing to wear high heels. Although Parliament's talks today are non-binding, companies are being politically pressured to edit their dress codes to omit mandatory high heels.
