17,000 AT&T workers go on strike
Approximately 17,000 of AT&T's landline workers in California and Nevada went on strike today. The landline employees are being represented by the Communications Workers of America, whose talks with the communications giant failed recently. Union members are upset with company layoffs and alterations made to their job requirements. The landline employees have been working under an expired contract for almost a year.
