Robots May Help Build Your Next Home and Fill the Labor Gap
Although there is a growing concern surrounding automation, some automation is aiding a labor shortage in the construction sector. For example, companies such as Blueprint, which builds houses on an assembly line, allow developers to save both money and combat the labor crunch. Blueprint is the first modular home building company to use robots in its factory and has attracted companies such as Marriott and apartment developers. Instead of completely displacing workers, Blueprint creates manufacturing jobs in its factories instead of having to hire expensive home builders.
