Women Dominate College Majors That Lead to Lower-Paying Work
New research conducted by Glassdoor revealed that college majors that result in high-salary positions are primarily occupied by men, whereas women primarily dominate social science and liberal arts majors, which lead to lower-paying jobs. Glassdoor examined 46,934 resumes of men and women who graduated between 2010 and 2017. Studies have shown that certain jobs that are "coded" female pay less than jobs that are "coded" male.
