London Underground strike: Tube staff launch 24-hour walkout at London Bridge in row over colleague's sacking
Employees at London Underground's London Bridge Station are staging a 24-hour walkout after a colleague was fired over an incident involving a violent passenger. The strikers are members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union, and believe that the individual involved should have be praised for tackling the patron. Brian Woodhead, operations director for London Underground, stated that the union's version of events are untrue, and that video footage shows "a staff member displaying unacceptable conduct".
