Sanders unveils plan to bolster labor unions
On Wednesday, Senator Bernie Sanders announced new legislation designed to strengthen labor unions and raising static wages across the country. Although he acknowledged that the bill is likely to not pass given Republican control of the house and senate, Sanders did bring national attention to the issue of stagnant wages. More than a dozen prominent Democrats co-sponsored the bill, including Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren.
