Birmingham bin strike: Council legal action against union
Bin workers (trash collectors) have gone on strike again in Birmingham after weeks of unsuccessful negotiations. “Rubbish” has already begun to accumulate on the streets, as no one is picking it up and disposing of it properly. Strikers are concerned that management is retaliating against individuals who participated in a strike that occurred in 2017. The City Council just had an emergency cabinet meeting to address this issue, wherein council members petitioned management to not pursue legal action against the union representing the bin workers.
