Delta Airlines to recall flight attendants
Delta Air Lines Inc., the largest U.S. carrier in bankruptcy, said it would recall 1,000 more flight attendants in 2007 as it adds international routes. Delta expects to start training for as many as 500 furloughed attendants "in the first few months of the year," the Atlanta-based airline said today in a statement. The recalls reflect Delta's progress in its plan to exit Chapter 11 in the first half of 2007. It recalled 200 other flight attendants Sept. 8, brought back 130 furloughed pilots this year and is hiring new airport customer service workers.
