As Wall Street, businesses, and top executives racked up four straight years of phenomenal profits and income, most American workers have sat on the sidelines with wages that lagged behind inflation and a rapidly dwindling selection of benefits. This inequity has raised larger questions about income disparities in America; disparities that corporate critics hope new leadership in Washington will move to address.
