Union cooperation key in Kerkorian's $4.5B bid for Chrysler
One of the keys to Kirk Kerkorian's $4.5 billion bid for Chrysler is cooperation from the United Auto Workers, which could end up with part-ownership of the troubled automaker. But analysts are offering mixed views on how much workers might be willing to give the billionaire investor. And it remains to be seen whether Kerkorian -- who says he's committed to a long-term approach to solving Chrysler's problems -- would be the best candidate for the union's support.
