Unions fight against abuse of migrant laborers
Quite literally risking life and limb, representatives of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee are working to protect Mexican migrant workers who often fall prey to exploitative recruiters while trying to find work in the United States. Though progress has been made, resistance has been fierce; one organizer was tortured and murdered in Monterrey in April. Despite the danger, the union vows to keep fighting.
