British civil servants union threatens boycott
Protesting Israel's policies towards Palestine, Great Britain's largest union has threatened to call a boycott of Israeli products and services, a move that could endanger British-Israeli relations. Britain's civil services union proposal comes after the British Union of Colleges and Universities proposed a cutting ties with Israeli academics and the National Union of Journalists demanded British and United Nations sanctions against Israel. Israeli officials have denounced the move, calling it anti-Semitic as it targets only the Jewish state and not other hot spots in the region.
