Aer Lingus Pilots Plan Strike Over New Belfast Base
Aer Lingus' plans for a new base in Belfast are prompting the airline's pilots to stage a two-day strike. The pilots claim that the pay and work conditions at the new base will be unfairly low, and threaten further work stoppages if their demands are not met. Aer Lingus contends that the pilots' demands are out of line, but experts warn that the airline's bargaining position is not good.
