Still Jumping Into the Job Pool
Teenagers who take summer jobs this year are part of a group in decline, their numbers dropping significantly over the last two decades. Social scientists offer a number of possible explanations, such as competition from immigrants and seniors who decide to stay in the workforce, while speculating on the effects this trend might have on the future world of work.
