Court bars strike of German train drivers
A labor court in Nuremberg issued a ruling barring German train drivers from going on strike, citing a fear that the strike would cause an economic crisis. The strike, intended to begin on Thursday, was overwhelmingly supported by members of the GDL union as a measure to back up demands for a 31 percent pay increase. The union is expected to appeal the courts ruling, but officials stated they will abide by the court's decision in the meantime.
