Labor Pact Is Approved by a Union at Delphi
Officials for the International Union of Electronic Workers-Communications Workers of America announced Saturday the union had voted to ratify a new four-year contract with the Delphi Corporation, paving the way for the company to emerge from bankruptcy. The IUE-CWA, which had threatened to strike if a new deal couldn't be reached, was the last of the company's unions to sign off on a new contract, which will take effect immediately.
