Malibu among models threatened as disputes hit GM where it hurts
An already weakened Michigan economy could be left reeling in the wake of further unrest between the United Auto Workers union and General Motors. At issue to the UAW are workers at several plants across the Upper Midwest that have been working without local contracts since the fall. Stoppages such as the one at GM's Lansing, MI plant are threatening the production of the Chevy Malibu, the carmakers best-selling model in years.
