Wellness plan can have big return on investment
Studies show that efforts on the part of employers to promote wellness among employees can result in lower health care costs, increased morale, and lower absenteeism. Experts say the key, however, is responding to the wishes of employees, rather than dictating wellness programs from upper management. Programs such as smoking cessation, healthy eating, and exercise can return $3 in health care savings for every dollar spent on wellness.
