Japanese workers are beginning to force changes in the unwritten social contracts that once bound them to their employers even more tightly than the official, written ones. As the nation's economic decline caused their wages and job security to dwindle as their unpaid overtime increased, more and more of these workers have started turning to the courts for restitution.
