Flight attendants' Delta case rejected
After a failed attempt to unionize Delta Air Lines flight attendants in May, the Association of Flight Attendants claimed the company had interfered with the union election. On Wednesday, the National Mediation Board ruled in favor of the airline, concluding that the claims were unsupported. Union international president Patricia Friend expressed strong disagreement, while Delta was obviously pleased with the outcome and dismissal of allegations. One member of the mediation board did dissent from the majority opinion, and meanwhile the union has filed a complaint with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris as well.
