Art Directors Guild finishes merger
The Art Directors Guild announced Thursday that it has completed a merger with two other unions, bringing its total membership to 2,000. Both unions, who were smaller groups representing illustrators and set designers, voted against the merger but the National Labor Relations Board allowed the move regardless. The three union combination formed a new 20-member board, though ADG's Scott Roth will continue his post as executive director. The merger is expected to strengthen the group's bargaining power.
