Deere, UAW reach tentative contract agreement
A tentative six-year contract agreement between Deere & Co. and the United Auto Workers was announced on Thursday. The contract will represent about 10,000 workers and 17,000 retirees in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Atlanta and Denver. Representatives from the UAW and the company both issued positive statements regarding the negotiating process and the contract, which needs to be ratified by 15 locals.
