Ford sees gap in UAW contracts
Differences in UAW contracts with Ford, GM and Chrysler regarding a wage freeze, skilled-trades job classification and a binding arbitration clause have Ford concerned. The contract that was ratified in March between Ford and the UAW did not include provisions present in GM and Chrysler contracts and Ford is looking to change that. They are facing resistance from both the UAW and the CAW because of Ford's recent performance in the market.
