Opposition to UAW, Ford deal persists
A union leader at a truck plant that has about 2,300 workers has come out in opposition of the proposed deal between Ford and and the UAW. The contract, which would freeze some wages, consolidate skilled-trades classifications and create a requirement for binding arbitration has found opposition with some workers. He believes that they have already conceded enough to Ford and that the contract gives up too much.
