Dates for postal strike confirmed
The Communication Workers Union, which represents employees of Britain's Royal Mail, has announced plans for two 24 hour postal strikes next Thursday and Friday. The strikes come after Royal Mail rejected an offer from the CWU for discussions about wages, working conditions and modernization. The CWU says that they gave Royal Mail a chance to ward off the strikes and called on the government to intervene, while Royal Mail said the was union dishonest and suicidal.
