The Maritime Union of Australia announced that Total Marine Services employees voted unanimously to hold a four day strike over their demand for higher wages. Total Marine Service provides services to offshore oil and gas rigs. Analysts say that the workers may be gaining greater power as the demand for their skills increases. The strike would effect Exxon Mobil and Woodside among other companies.
