The new ballot of Unite members, which represents cabin crews for British Airways came back with 80.7% of members who voted on the ballot voting for a strike. Unite has said that it plans to continue negotiation with British Airways, but that the airline should take this as a warning of the discontent of it's employees and make a greater effort in negotiations. British Airways says that they will try to protect passengers from any strikes and has threatened to take away perks from workers who strike. Unite promised that there will be no strikes over the Easter holidays. The vote results comes directly after a four day strike of German pilots at Lufthansa and the announcement of a French air-traffic controllers strike to begin today.
