Union Group Pushes Kansas to Dump Drug Plan Manager
Abstract: Change to Win, which represents over 5.5 million workers is asking Kansas to drop CVS, which is the company that offers the prescription plan to state employees, saying that the company has not offered the lowest prices. Change to Win also said that there have been similar issues with CVS plans in Illinois and Maryland. The union sent its concerns in a letter to the Secretary of Administration, who is the chairman of the commission that decides which company receives the contract. The charges were also taken to the House Government Efficiency and fiscal Oversight Committee, which plans to investigate the charges. A spokesman for Change to Win said that the problems with CVS need to be investigated and taken into account when a new contract is awarded.
