Frontier flight attendants approve union
Flight attendants at Frontier Airlines voted Thursday to approve unionization, and so will soon be joining the ranks of the Association of Flight Attendants, an affiliate of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and the AFL-CIO. The union represents over 50,000 flight attendants at twenty-two different airlines. 879 Frontier employees voted in the union approval decision and elected, by a small margin, to join the AFA-CWA. 51.9% of those voting were in favor of the AFA-CWA. Union leadership expressed satisfaction with the decision of the Frontier employees, and said all sides are looking forward to being able to negotiate a contract that serves flight attendant needs, and addresses Frontier flight attendant needs in particular.
