Workers as S.Africa's Pick n Pay to strike over pay
25,000 South African employees of Pick n Pay are threatening to strike on Friday if they do not receive a 12% wage increase. The workers are represented by the South African Commercial, Catering and Allied Workers Union. This is the latest strike threat in along line of strikes, as South African workers all over the country strike for higher pay. Analysts say that Pick n Pay cannot afford, and that they doubt they will bend to the unions' demands. the current inflation rate in South Africa is 3.7%.
