Transit union denies offer
Minnesota transit workers rejected a contract offer on Tuesday, which may lead to a strike for bus drivers. The contract included wage and benefit freezes and higher health care costs for workers. A spokeswoman for the union said that they would go back to the negotiation table, though the city has said that this is their last offer. She also said that workers have earned their wages and benefits and should not be penalized. The University of Minnesota says that they will have a plan in place in case of a strike.
