Ford plans to hire 1,200 new workers
On Monday Ford announced that t will invest $850 million in Detroit-area plants to build new transmissions. Along with the investment, the company said that it planned to hire 900 hourly employees and 300 salaried employees. The plan will go into place if the Michigan Economic Growth Authority approves new tax incentives for Ford. The company has already invested $950 million in other new plants, and hired 1,200 workers this year in Chicago.
