Trash collectors in Marseille protested by refusing to collect the trash, a protest which has spread to other cities. Unions called for another day of protests on Thursday, and students will protest on Tuesday. The Senate passed the pension reform bill, and the law is expected to go into effect on Wednesday. The unions say that they will call for more protests on November 6 if the reforms are not withdrawn or opened up for negotiations.
