Growing anxiety over airport pat-downs and scanners
New security procedures at airlines are worrying both passengers and crews. Pilots associations say that they are advising their members not to go through the new scanners due to the radiation, which they say pilots are already exposed to when flying. T Hey also say that the new pat downs are invasive and that there should be other ways for flight crews to go through security. Some say that pat downs should not be in effect for crews, who will be flying planes later. They say that technology to check ids and passports should be used instead.
