Settlement deadline passes for ill 9/11 responders
An influx of paperwork has caused the judge overseeing the lawsuit of 9/11 workers to extend a deadline for a settlement to 3 pm Thursday from 11:59 pm Monday. The judge also issued a gag order for attorneys, saying that he did not want rumors as to whether the settlement would go through. The conditions imposed for the settlement are that 95% of the 10,000 workers have to agree to the settlement. The judge said that as soon as all the results are in they will be posted online.
