More problems for China's Foxconn over workers' pay
Workers at Chinese electronics manufacturer Foxconn say that they protested for higher wages this week, saying around six or seven thousand workers participated in the demonstrations. The company says that workers had asked for higher wages, but did not say how many had asked. Foxconn also denied that there was any organized actions. Workers say that Foxconn has not paid the wages that it promised and that they have been threatened with termination if they strike. Foxconn announced large wage increases after a string of suicides at a factory brought public scrutiny.
